City Parks And Rec Hiring Day May 1st!

The Laramie Parks & Recreation Department announces a Hiring Day at the University of Wyoming Student Union on Wednesday May 1 from 10am-2pm in the breezeway.

The City is looking for 30 to 40 outstanding individuals to fill positions for both summer jobs and year-round positions. Staff members will have an opportunity to develop transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, while creating friendships, and serving the community in the Parks & Recreation Department. Interested individuals will be able to explore the job openings with supervisors, apply for and be awarded positions ranging from Mosquito Technicians, Lifeguards, Youth Summer Camp Leaders, Parks Maintenance, Cemetery Grounds Maintenance, Athletics and Customer Service.

The positions in Parks & Recreation have a variety of schedules, ranging from full time to 10 hours per week and provide a myriad of opportunity to gain skills and job experience. Hourly pay for these positions is based on experience and qualifications. The City of Laramie also offers Free Recreation Center Memberships and Laramie County Community College tuition waivers to employees.
