Beitel & Spring Creek Elementary Schools To Consolidate

LARAMIE, Wyo. (April 25, 2024) – Last night, the Albany County School District #1 Board of
Trustees unanimously voted in favor of a motion to close Beitel Elementary School and
consolidate with students at Spring Creek Elementary. Students from both schools will attend
Spring Creek Elementary School in the fall of 2024. Families and staff from both schools have
been informed.


The Board of Trustees and District administration understands that this is an emotional time for
community members, students, parents, and educators. District administration will be working
closely with principal, Jeff Stender, to finalize plans regarding the consolidation. As we move
towards consolidation we will continue to communicate with stakeholders and will endeavor to
make this process as smooth as possible. Please be on the lookout for future information on the
