WyoTech Names New President
Exciting Announcement from Jim Mathis:
“WyoTech has grown significantly in the last five years, and with growth, comes the necessity for change.
It is with great pride and honor that I appoint Kyle Morris as the new President of WyoTech effective November 1, 2023.
Kyle has been with WyoTech for 20 years serving in many capacities across the institution. Most recently served as the VP of Operations and Finance, while also holding the title of Interim Director of Education. Kyle was a fierce advocate for keeping WyoTech open before its most recent threat of closure in 2018, leading the staff and community in a fight that ultimately brought me in to support the relaunch of this great institution. I have no doubt Kyle will continue to lead WyoTech’s day-to-day operations with excellence like he has in his long tenure at WyoTech.
Though I will no longer be serving as President of WyoTech, I will be involved almost daily at a high level as WyoTech continues to grow and seek new opportunities. This is not full retirement for me, rather, this is me passing the torch to the next generation of leadership I carefully selected to continue the legacy of the WyoTech name and its impact on our country. I am looking forward to stepping back from the day-to-day operations to create space for myself and my wife Mary to enjoy time in Arizona during the long winter months in Wyoming while forging new opportunities and pathways in supporting the ongoing growth of WyoTech. I am thankful to God for this opportunity to rebuild what helped build me when I was just a teenager. WyoTech is in my blood, and I am proud of all we’ve accomplished. The good news is we are just getting started and I have faith in the team to carry WyoTech to new heights for generations to come.”
