Wyoming Department of Transportation Begins Chip Seal Repair Work on Wyoming Highway 11
The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) in collaboration with Intermountain Slurry Seal, Inc. is set to commence chip seal repair work on Wyoming Highway 11 starting from June 6th, weather permitting.
The primary objective of chip sealing is to preserve the pavement and enhance its traction for motorists.
The repair work will focus on spot repairs along portions of Wyoming Highway 11, specifically between mileposts 0 and 10.94 near Centennial. These areas were previously subjected to chip seal operations last year.
As a result of the ongoing repair activities, drivers should anticipate potential delays, as pilot cars will be in operation to facilitate traffic flow. Additionally, it is crucial for drivers to be cautious of fly rock and adhere to the designated 30 MPH speed limit signs within construction zones to prevent any potential damage to vehicles.
To ensure safety in work zones, drivers are advised to avoid distractions such as using cell phones while passing through the area. The repair work is anticipated to conclude within a few days, depending on the prevailing weather conditions and the availability of necessary materials and equipment.
WYDOT and Intermountain Slurry Seal, Inc. are committed to maintaining and improving the quality of Wyoming’s road infrastructure, and these chip seal repairs on Wyoming Highway 11 are part of those ongoing efforts. Motorists are urged to exercise caution, be patient, and follow all posted signs and instructions while traveling through the construction zone.
For further updates on the project and potential changes to the construction schedule, the public is encouraged to stay informed through official WYDOT channels and announcements.
