UW Spring Commencement: May 13th
The University of Wyoming’s spring commencement ceremonies, featuring four separate events, are planned Saturday, May 13.
UW is scheduled to accord degrees upon 1,558 undergraduate students, 466 graduate students, 62 College of Law students and 31 School of Pharmacy students.
All ceremonies, free and open to the public, will be held in the Arena-Auditorium, with the exception of the College of Law ceremony, which is scheduled in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts. Livestreaming information will be made available soon.
The schedule for each ceremony is:
— 8:30 a.m.: Undergraduate ceremony for the College of Arts and Sciences; College of Education; Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources; and Office of Academic Affairs.
Mandy Fabel, Leadership Wyoming’s executive director from Lander, will give the keynote address. She received an MBA from UW and serves on the UW College of Business Advisory Board.
Cheyenne’s Angela Davis, a criminal justice, psychology and African American and diaspora studies major, with a minor in sociology, will present the student address.
— 10 a.m.: College of Law ceremony. The keynote speaker is Mel Orchard III, from the Spence Law Firm LLC in Jackson. Orchard received his UW College of Law degree in 1992.
— 12:15 p.m.: Graduate ceremony for master’s and doctoral students from the College of Agriculture, Life Sciences and Natural Resources; College of Arts and Sciences; College of Business; College of Education; College of Engineering and Physical Sciences; College of Health Sciences; Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources; and School of Energy Resources.
Fabel is the keynote speaker.
Presenting the student address will be Amanda Tracy, a counseling master’s student in the College of Education from Laramie.
— 3:30 p.m.: Undergraduate ceremony for the College of Agriculture, Life Sciences and Natural Resources; College of Business; College of Engineering and Physical Sciences; College of Health Sciences; and School of Energy Resources.
Fabel is the keynote speaker.
Wolf Johnson, a College of Business marketing student from Lander, will give the student address.
UW-Casper’s commencement is at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 14, at David Street Station, located at 200 S. David St. in Casper.
