Rocky Mountain Power Outage Update

The outage began at 7:14 a.m., affecting 2283 customers north and east of the University of Wyoming. Service was restored to all customers at 10:29 a.m. The cause was a squirrel that contacted electrical equipment. Protective equipment interrupted power to prevent damage to utility equipment and customer appliances. Repair crews located the problem at 8:26 a.m., cleared the fault and patrolled the service lines to make certain there were no other problems.
