LPD Needs To Locate Dog Owner

On November 14, 2024, at approximately 10:20 a.m., a citizen was bitten by a dog. The dog is described as a white and tan Poodle cross, weighing approximately 20 pounds, wearing a blue harness, and attached to an extendable leash.  This dog was being walked by a female subject with shoulder length black hair, approximately 5’5” tall, and wearing a blue vest and blue jeans.  This event occurred in the area of 15th Street and Bill Nye Avenue.  

Locating the dog in question is important for rabies monitoring and vaccination verification purposes.

The Animal Control Division would like to remind everyone that animal bites could involve exposure to rabies, and that all animal bites must be reported immediately.
