From Laramie Firefighters IAFF Local 946 (click for their Facebook page)
The Local 946 is extremely grateful for the outpouring of support that has been directed towards the Laramie firefighters affected by this recent accident. Our members have received calls and messages from countless individuals and organizations across the country asking what they can do to support the needs of these men and their families.
At this time, the largest need we have identified for these men is financial, particularly for the Schilt family. There will be countless costs accrued in their recovery processes and supplementing these costs is the most tangible way for the public to support both the firefighters involved and their families.
For those who have asked how they can help and are able to give, we have set up multiple routes of giving.
The Yard is a well-known charity organized by two Chicago firefighters that supports injured firefighters and their families. All donations through this route go entirely to the Schilt family, with nothing being kept for the organization. Due to their financial status as a charity, all donations through this route are tax deductible.

To those preferring to write a check, please mail checks to:

Donations made through any of these avenues will be entirely directed to the party intended. The Local 946 and the affected individuals and families are sincerely grateful for the generosity of both the community we serve and those around the country who have reached out asking to help. We ask that you continue to keep these men in your thoughts as they begin their respective roads to recovery.
