City of Laramie: Updates On The Spring Creek Trail Project

The City of Laramie is excited to announce the commencement of the much-anticipated Spring Creek Trail project, a venture aimed at enhancing the community’s connectivity. This project will create a walking path stretching from 30th Street to LaPrele Park.

The Spring Creek Trail project represents a significant step towards improving the quality of life for residents and visitors alike. The creation of this walking path allows for more movement of pedestrians to and from different sections of the City through scenic walking paths instead of busy streets.

The project is currently in its first phase. Phase 1 of the project connects 30th Street to LaPrele Park and is slated for completion in summer 2024. Eventually, this portion of the project will be connected to the Poledna addition of the Spring Creek trail – which spans from 3rd to 5th Street – creating a city-wide walking path from downtown to Walmart via Spring Creek.

The pouring of the concrete began on October 3rd. The project comes from the City of Laramie in collaboration with WYDOT, the US Federal Highway Association, and the Reiman Corporation.

The City has established a dedicated webpage to keep the public informed about the project’s ongoing developments. We encourage the public to track the progress of the Spring Creek project and access resources related to its future on this page.
