City Council Recognizes 4 LPD Staff

Yesterday, September 19, 2023, the City of Laramie City Council recognized four members of the Laramie Police Department for their professionalism, assiduity, and exhaustive efforts during a complex homicide investigation that began in June of last year.

Detective Sergeant Sally Dalles, Detectives Matthew Liebovitz and Patrick Buenger, and Evidence Technician Jennifer Kelley were recognized last night for their outstanding efforts in solving this case and apprehending the two suspects, one of whom was arrested in California. Between the four of them, 30 police reports were filed, 21 warrants were authored, 321 pieces of evidence were collected, and 606 items were sent to discovery.

In addition to these four outstanding public servants, MJ Sisneros was recognized by the City Council for his assistance with law enforcement during a complex homicide investigation.

On June 27, 2022, Mr. Sisneros reported that his friend and employee, Mathew Caggiano, had not shown up for work for a few days and had not been answering Mr. Sisneros’s phone calls. During the beginning of the investigation, Mr. Sisneros’s information and cooperation proved to be invaluable in narrowing down a timeline of events that ultimately led to the arrest and conviction of Mr. Caggiano’s murders.

Thank you to all the LPD personnel whose actions show the true spirit and character of the LPD, and to Mr. Sisneros, whose dedication to his community led to a successful resolution of a crime that shook the Laramie community.
