Change In Laramie Resident Parking Permit Process
The City of Laramie has taken the Residential Parking Permit process online to help residents secure parking permits more easily and efficiently. Moving this process online gives residents more access (including off after hours) and allows City staff to process permitting information digitally.
While the online portal gives residents more convenient access via their personal devices, those without internet can access the portal in person via the public kiosk at City Hall. To either apply for or renew a Residential Parking Permit, residents will need to provide the following documents along with the application:
- Proof of residence within a designated sector (Parking District Map).
- Valid documents include, but are not limited to a lease, utility bill, or bank statement.
- Vehicle registration or automobile insurance policy, verifying vehicle identification number (VIN).
In addition, a valid email address is also required, regardless of in-person or online application submission. The submitted email address will be utilized to notify applicants of important steps throughout the application process.
Guest, or temporary, parking permits may also be requested via the online portal. A guest permit can only be obtained by a resident and is intended for single use. Guest permits are valid only for the date inserted and are needed for guest parking in permitted zones Monday-Friday, 6AM–6PM.For a full breakdown of parking permit types and costs, as well as access to the online application/portal, visit the City of Laramie’s website.
