This past Tuesday night, there was a unanimous vote among Laramie City Council members to eliminate the surface water drainage fund and get rid of the stormwater fee. To go into effect, the ordinance to repeal everything must survive two readings, March 17th and April 7th. This is all being done because of legislative uncertaonly. A proposed bill, Senate File 116 died but wouldve required cities and towns to host elections before imposing a stormwater tax.
