Just about every city and town across the state recorded the warmest winter ever since record keeping began in the 19th century.   there are new records for average low, over and high temps.  Only one place, Newcastle didn’t record the warmest winter ever with 2025-26 winter was the 2nd warmest there.  

Casper saw temps about 9 degrees warmer than average for the December to February period. For that same 3 months span, one of the warmer spots was Big Piney with over 14 degrees warmer on average day to day.  

For Laramie, the average temp December to February is 23 degrees but we saw an average of 31 degrees. We are below average on rain and snow in winter, but don’t have accurate data on those numbers from the Laramie airport however the weather service did say we are below average for rain and well below average for snow,
