Late last month, the Red Cross declared the US to be dealing with a severe blood shortage when the blood supply fell about 35 percent. A flu outbreak across the nation has been one of the problems and in certain parts of the country, the winter weather has compounded the problem.

Vitalant has blood drives Tuesday the 17th in the IMH Summit Room, Wednesday in the fellowship hall at First Christian Church in Laramie and Monday the 23rd at the Laramie Moose Lodge.
