City Of Laramie’s Ongoing Wastewater Testing To Monitor COVID-19

The City of Laramie is continuing its efforts of the weekly wastewater testing program to monitor COVID-19 in our community. This program is part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding the health and well-being of our residents.

Wastewater testing has proven to be an effective tool in tracking the prevalence of COVID-19 in communities. By analyzing samples from our wastewater treatment facility, the City of Laramie aims to identify trends and potential outbreaks early, enabling swift and informed responses from local health authorities.

The testing efforts come in conjunction with the Wyoming Department of Health. The WDH monitors cases from every county across the state. This data can be found on the Wyoming Department of Health’s website at https://tinyurl.com/4jrdt27.

Residents are encouraged to stay informed about COVID-19 updates through the City of Laramie’s official website and to continue adhering to public health guidelines.
