Wyoming Main Street Leadership Award Recognizes Laramie Main Street Communication Coordinator – Jennifer Power

Each year, Wyoming Main Street takes this opportunity to recognize an individual that shows leadership in their community and serves as a role model for other Main Street professionals.

She is a tireless champion for Main Street, working behind the scenes to ensure every event hosted downtown gets highlighted. She is patient and kind, demonstrating a good nature in the most chaotic situations. She assists businesses one-on-one, providing tools they can use to capture new customers.

With an eye for design, she has expanded her knowledge base to become an in-house
preservationist – relaunching their community’s facade grant program this summer. Due to her diligence, 9 businesses have successfully applied for and received funding to improve their storefronts.

This program wouldn’t be possible without her research into best practices, openness to work with the City to streamline the application with the permit process, and stewardship of the Design Team volunteers in creating a review matrix and scoring process.

Her professional growth and ability to step into a strategic role for the organization has showcased her ability to lead. The 2023 Main Street Leadership award winner is: Jennifer Power, from Laramie Main Street Alliance.
