Youth Walk In Laramie Sat. Sept 16th
The City of Laramie is hosting a free outdoor event for Laramie’s youth, focused on enjoying time outside, meeting new people, relieving stress, and learning about community resources. The Laramie Youth Walk is open to all youth in the community and will be held on Saturday, September 16th at 10 a.m. at the Pilot Hill Recreation Area.
This event, organized by Laramie’s City Clerk, Nancy Bartholomew, is a great opportunity for Laramie’s youth to get together and enjoy Laramie’s outdoor recreation while broadening their social circle and reaping the health benefits of exercise.
“Exercise helps reduce stress levels and the Laramie Youth Walk is designed to promote mental health and overall general well-being. We are inviting members of the community to join us in this effort during the walk at no cost. We encourage the youth in our community to find a friend or family member and come out and enjoy the trails with us,” says Bartholomew.
The Youth Walk group will be meeting at the Willett Drive Trailhead at 10 a.m. The City of Laramie encourages youth to join this inaugural event and advises walkers to bring a water bottle, wear walking shoes, and bring friends or family.
