2nd Arrest Made in Homicide Investigation
A California woman is in custody after being arrested yesterday. 25-year-old Erin B. Wade was taken into custody by the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant for charges of Accessory After the Fact, 2nd Degree Murder (WS 6-5-202) and Conspiracy to Commit Mutilation of Dead Bodies (WS 6-1-303).
These charges stemmed from the investigation into the disappearance of Matthew Caggiano, and subsequent of arrest of 29-year-old Hunter O. Fulton for his murder.
Wyoming Statute 6-5-202a states a person is an accessory after the fact if, with intent to hinder, delay or prevent the discovery, detection, apprehension, prosecution, detention, conviction, or punishment of another for the commission of a crime, he renders assistance to the person. Accessory after the fact is a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than three (3) years, a fine of not more than three thousand dollars ($3,000.00), or both
Wyoming Statute 6-1-303 states a person is guilty of conspiracy to commit a crime if he agrees with one (1) or more persons that they or one (1) or more of them will commit a crime and one (1) or more of them does an overt act to effect the objective of the agreement. Conspiracy for Mutilation of Dead Bodies is a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than ten (10) years, a fine of not more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00), or both.
These charges are merely accusations, and the subjects are considered innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
