Fee Increase At Laramie Animal Shelter

From the animal shelter:

As of October 1, 2024, new fees will go into effect at the Laramie Animal Shelter. The following changes will be in place:

City license prices will be:

$20 for spayed/neutered dogs, cats, and ferrets

$40 for intact dogs, cats, and ferrets

Adoption fees: Adult cats – $50

Kittens (under 4 months old) – $60

Adult dogs – $60

Puppies (under 4 months old) – $70

Other species – $10-$50

All adopted pets will still be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and have their age-appropriate vaccinations at the time of adoption.

There will still be a $20 charge if your adopted animal received a rabies vaccination during their stay at the Laramie Animal Shelter.

Impound/Redemption fees will change to $50 but can be waived on the 1st impound offense of the year if the animal has a current city license.

If an impounded animal stays at the shelter overnight, the fee for board will be $30/night.

Animals quarantined at the Laramie Animal Shelter due to a bite will be charged $40/night during their stay, in addition to veterinary exam and vaccination fees.
