Public Notice Concerning 3rd & Bill Nye Ave

Through the development process, it was determined that as the area around the 3rd Street and Bill Nye Avenue intersection continues to develop, a traffic signal is required. Due to the alignment of the intersection, the traffic patterns on Palmer Drive (west leg of the intersection) require adjustment to operate as a one-way road in the westbound direction. The City recognizes this is a significant adjustment for this area of town and welcomes the community to provide comments or concerns regarding this project. The City of Laramie is working to finalize plans to install a traffic signal at the intersection of 3rd Street and Bill Nye Avenue. This design has been coordinated with WYDOT and the adjacent development. (link to Public Notice)

Construction is anticipated for the summer and fall of 2025. Staff will work with the contractors to minimize the impact on traffic during construction
