City of Laramie Seeking Commissioners for Urban Renewal Agency
Members must reside within the area of operation of the agency and demonstrate knowledge of community planning, urban renewal, and business management.
Board Responsibilities include:
- Eliminate and prevent the development or spread of slums and urban blight
- Encourage needed urban rehabilitation
- Provide for the redevelopment of slum and blighted areas
- Prevent the spread of blight through diligent enforcement of housing, zoning, and occupancy controls and standards
- Rehabilitate or conserve slums/blighted areas through re-planning, providing public improvements, and encouraging voluntary rehabilitation.
