Power Outage Affecting 2500 Customers In Laramie

Power went out for just over 2,500 Rocky Mountain Power customers at about 7:15 this morning.

According to Rocky Mountain Power crews on the ground construction equipment being moved in the area of Third and Lewis contacted the overhead power lines and caused a power pole to fail.

Crews are on site working on restoring service with a current estimated repair time of 2 pm for full restoration of service.

As of 9 am service has been restored for approximately 900 customers.

Please remember that stoplights should be treated as a 4 way stop when power is out.
