Podiatry Services Open at Ivinson

Dusty Christensen, DPM joins Ivinson Medical Group’s surgical clinic where he will offer podiatry services for a wide range of foot and ankle concerns. Specializing in foot and ankle surgery, Dr. Christensen brings six years of diverse experience to the surgical clinic team at Ivinson. He has special interest in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery, total ankle replacements, ankle arthroscopy and sports injuries.

After earning his doctor of podiatric medicine in North Chicago, Dr. Christensen completed his podiatric foot and ankle
surgical residency at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. There, he received extensive training alongside orthopedic
and sports medicine physicians, providing care for the University of Notre Dame’s Athletic Department. Dr. Christensen
holds board certification through the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and the American Board of Foot and Ankle
Surgeons.

“I believe in an informative model of patient care,” Dr. Christensen explained of his care philosophy. “My patients can
expect to be attentively listened to regarding their health concerns and will be provided multiple treatment options tailored
to the individual needs. I want my patients to leave feeling educated and empowered about their specific healthcare
journey and feel as though they were the only patient I saw that day.”

Although he is originally from Phoenix and completed his Bachelor’s at the University of Arizona, Dr. Christensen has
long considered Laramie home. Laramie is where he grew up. It is where he lived while his mom pursued her
undergraduate and doctorate degree at UW. Laramie is where he went to school and it is where he met his wife, a Laramie
native, whom he has known since age 12. The couple began dating in college, have lived in over seven states together and
now share two children, as well as a Great Dane and a Beagle.

“While we have loved each state in which we have lived, our hearts have always remained in Wyoming. We are ecstatic
to finally settle down back in our home town and raise our kids in the same great community.” Dr. Christensen said.
“Laramie has provided many opportunities for my entire family. I feel a strong desire and sense of pride to be in a position
to give something meaningful back.”
