Laramie Chamber Business Alliance Award Winners Announced at Annual Banquet

The Laramie Chamber Business Alliance held their annual banquet March 24th and announced the winners of 2020 and 2021 business awards.

2020 Award Winners:

Non-Profit of the Year – Ark Regional Services
Jim Cavalli Award – Sarah Carrol
Shuster Award – Laramie Soup Kitchen
Business of the Year – Hits 106 Wolf Creek Radio Broadcasting
Business Person of the Year – Nicole Hauser

2020 winners were announced at this year’s event due to the cancellation of the banquet in 2021.

2021 Award Winners:

Business Person of the Year – Jim Mathis Wyotech

About the awards:

Business of the year awards are to recognize and honor businesses that have demonstrated “best practices” of entrepreneurship, sound business planning, fiscal responsibility and work process innovation in operating their business. Nominees must exemplify commitment to free enterprise and entrepreneurship. Large businesses have 25 or more employees and small businesses have 24 or less.

Businessperson of the Year award is to honor and celebrate exceptional service by an individual who has positively contributed to the quality of life in Laramie. Individual has consistently demonstrated a high level of community involvement through participation in civic, community, and active leadership role for employees, peers, and citizens of Laramie.

Jim Cavalli Service to Others Award is to recognize and honor an individual, organization, or corporation that has demonstrated selfless service to others in the community to the betterment of Laramie and its residents and has done so without regard to personal gain nor to advance the corporation by which they are employed.

The Shuster Award recognizes a proven successful locally owned business.

The Castle Award recognizes a successful individual that gives selflessly through their volunteer efforts.

Non-Profit of the Year recognizes one local non-profit who has demonstrated their commitment to the community and their charter aligns with the Leadership Laramie Project.
