Coughlin Pole Mountain Park Public Meeting

Laramie, Wyoming – The City of Laramie will be holding an in-person meeting public meeting on March 23, 2022 from Noon to 1:00pm and from 4:30pm to 6:00pm at Fire Station 2, 1558 N. 23rd Street to gain input on the development of the future Coughlin Pole Mountain Park located between 28th Street, Plains Street, Bath Avenue, and Knadler Street. Community members are invited to participate and provide feedback on ideas for the future park.

The lot for the future park is currently vacant land that gives little to no recreational use to the residential area. Adding a small park in this area is addressed in the Parks & Recreation Master Plan and will provide valuable increases in the quality of life for our residents.  The park would also increase valuable green space, incorporate all age levels, and contribute to health and wellness for the community. Involvement from the community will help in our efforts to complete this project.

Some potential amenities under consideration to be part of the park’s development are an open grass area, 2 to 5-year-old and 5 to 12-year-old playgrounds, adult workout stations, benches, trees, a basketball court and a shelter. Other amenity ideas from the community are welcomed.

If you may have any questions, comments, or concerns please Todd Feezer, Assistant City Manager at 307-721-5304, tfeezer@cityoflaramie.org or Scott Hunter, Parks Manager at 307-721-5257, shunter@cityoflaramie.org.
