Whiting High School Raised $68.34 for Laramie Interfaith

Whiting High School used a “Penny War” to raise $68.34 for Laramie Interfaith. Whiting students competed for their grades to see who could earn the most money to add to the donation.

The Juniors raised a total of $24.64 to win the contest. The Seniors raised $19.88, the sophomores raised $15.63, and the freshmen raised $8.30. The “Penny War” was held from Jan. 25 through Feb. 14, and the winning class earned an ice cream part on Feb. 15.

The Whiting Student Council took charge of the fundraiser. The 10-member team created the money jars, made a poster, announced the event, and kept students and teachers involved throughout the fundraiser event.
