Summit Rest Area on I-80 by Laramie Closed for Repairs

WyDOT announced last Friday that the Summit Rest Area near mile marker 323 on I-80 east of Laramie will be closed on Wednesday March 2nd and Thursday March 3rd due to plumbing repairs.

The rest area is temporarily closed as of now, but may be open later today

A spokesperson for WyDOT informed us today that regular maintenance was scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, but a temporary closure occurred today ahead of the planned maintenance. The spokesperson said that they were trying to have the rest area open soon for the rest of the today, to lessen the impact on travelers.

Facilities, including restrooms and tourist information areas, will remain closed to the public. Parking will remain available.
